The Cinque Terre

Five UNESCO World Heritage villages suspended between rock and sea: from afar they’re seen in a single glance, from the water they’re experienced up close.

Riomaggiore and its harbor

Riomaggiore

The first village arriving from the south: pastel-colored tower houses clustered around the small harbor. From the sea you understand right away why fishermen call it home.

Manarola

The most photographed of the five, perched on a dark rocky spur among vineyards overlooking the sea. At sunset it lights up in pink and orange.

Corniglia perched on the cliff, seen from the sea

Corniglia

The only village without a landing, a hundred meters up on the cliff: from the sea it’s admired from below, among terraces and vineyards suspended in mid-air.

Vernazza

The most beautiful natural harbor on the coast: the little square on the water, the bell tower of Santa Margherita di Antiochia, and the Doria Castle guarding the pier.

The beach of Monterosso

Monterosso

The largest village and the only one with real beaches: the sun umbrellas of Fegina and the Giant statue. Perfect for the last swim stop before heading back.
